Hire Class stag mark

Hire Class is a formal suit hire house based at Pandy Business Park in Gresford, ten minutes from Wrexham town centre and a short drive from Chester. We offer tailored wedding suit hire, morning suits, dinner suits and tuxedo rental for black tie, prom suit hire for school leavers, and lighter tailoring for race day at Chester, Bangor on Dee and Aintree.

Every hire begins with a fit consultation in our Wrexham showroom, where cloth is handled in daylight, measurements are taken properly and the whole party is dressed in one considered colour story. We work with couples marrying across North Wales, Flintshire, Denbighshire, Chester and Cheshire, and with clients who simply want tailored menswear hire that fits as though it were made for them.

Our Collections

Six pieces

Six pieces, each namedfor the countrythey were made for

Our collection covers formal suit hire for every occasion we are asked to dress: tailored wedding suit hire, morning suits, dinner suits and tuxedo rental for black tie, prom suit hire for school leavers, and lighter tailoring for race day at Chester and Bangor on Dee. Each piece is fitted at our showroom in Gresford, just outside Wrexham, and hired by clients throughout North Wales, Cheshire and the border counties.

Clwyd suit from the Hire Class collection01

Clwyd

Hire

Charcoal three-piece in a fine English wool.

A quiet, versatile charcoal three-piece cut from a mid-weight English worsted wool, woven with enough body to hold a clean line through a long wedding day. The notch lapel and lightly structured shoulder flatter most builds, which makes Clwyd the piece we recommend most often for tailored wedding suit hire in Wrexham and across North Wales. Held in a complete size run from page boy to father of the bride, so an entire party can be dressed in one cloth without compromise.

Cambrian suit from the Hire Class collection02

Cambrian

Hire

Blue herringbone tweed, cut for country weddings.

A pure wool herringbone tweed in a soft, weathered blue, woven for country weddings and autumn ceremonies. The cloth carries texture rather than sheen, and it photographs beautifully in the natural light of a Welsh barn or estate. Cambrian suits couples marrying in Denbighshire, the Ceiriog Valley and the border country around Chester, and pairs naturally with waistcoats in stone, moss or oatmeal for the wider party.

Conwy suit from the Hire Class collection03

Conwy

Hire

Midnight navy tweed with a checked waistcoat.

Midnight navy tweed with a subtly checked waistcoat, cut a touch closer through the chest and waist for a considered, tailored silhouette. It reads as formal menswear without tipping into black tie, which makes it a reliable choice for civil ceremonies, evening receptions and formal dinners across Wrexham, Chester and Cheshire. Horn buttons and a half canvassed chest keep the shape honest from the first photograph to the last dance.

Menai suit from the Hire Class collection04

Menai

Hire

Light grey three-piece, softly cut for summer.

A light grey three-piece in an open weave summer wool, softly constructed so it sits easily on the shoulder through a warm afternoon. Menai is our most requested piece for June and July weddings on the North Wales coast, for garden ceremonies and for outdoor drinks receptions where a heavier cloth would quickly feel like hard work. It takes pastel ties, linen pocket squares and tan leather without effort.

Eryri suit from the Hire Class collection05

Eryri

Hire

Black dinner suit with grosgrain lapel facing.

A proper black dinner suit with grosgrain lapel facing, satin covered buttons and a matching braided trouser stripe, offered as tuxedo hire for black tie events, charity galas and awards evenings. Worn with a marcella shirt and a hand tied bow, it is evening dress done correctly rather than a dark lounge suit pressed into service. Eryri is also the piece most school leavers choose for prom suit hire in Wrexham and the surrounding towns.

Snowdon suit from the Hire Class collection06

Snowdon

Hire

Soft blue summer cloth, made for the racecourse.

A soft blue summer cloth with a relaxed shoulder and a slightly higher trouser rise, made with race day attire in mind. Snowdon was cut for long afternoons at Chester, Bangor on Dee and Aintree, where a suit needs to breathe, resist creasing and still look considered in the parade ring at five o'clock. It hires readily as a two piece for the races or as a three piece for summer weddings and formal garden parties.

The Cloth

Standards you feel before you see

Every jacket in the collection is cut from British and Italian cloth chosen for weight, drape and how it behaves after twelve hours of wear. Horn buttons, taped seams and a canvassed chest that holds its shape. Hired, but never disposable.

Fabric is where a hired suit is usually let down, so it is where we spend the most care. Worsted wools for weddings that run from a morning ceremony into a late evening, herringbone and Donegal tweeds for autumn and winter in the Welsh countryside, open weave summer cloths for race meetings and coastal ceremonies. Linings are cut generously, trousers are finished with a proper waistband and turn ups where the cloth suits them, and every garment is pressed and inspected in Gresford before it leaves for the occasion.

Alterations are carried out in house. If a sleeve sits a quarter inch long or a waistcoat needs taking in the week before the wedding, it is corrected here in Wrexham rather than sent away, which is the practical reason our clients from Chester and Cheshire make the short drive across the border.

The Showroom

An afternoon in Gresford, not a queue at a counter

The whole party comes at once. Coffee in the morning, a glass of prosecco later on, and as long as it takes to settle on the cloth. Nobody is rushed and nothing is decided at a rail under strip lighting.

Our fitting showroom sits at Pandy Business Park in Gresford, ten minutes from Wrexham town centre and around twenty five minutes from Chester, with free parking at the door. Appointments are private and unhurried, which matters when eight people need measuring, waistcoats need comparing against the bride's palette, and someone has driven up from Cheshire for the afternoon.

We fit wedding parties, prom groups, race day regulars and black tie guests from across North Wales, Flintshire, Denbighshire and the Cheshire border, and we hold sizes from small page boys to considerably larger fathers of the bride.

Occasions

Dressed for the day in question

Weddings, proms, race meetings and black tie evenings each ask something different of a suit. These are the four occasions we dress most often for clients in Wrexham, Gresford, Chester and the wider North Wales and Cheshire region, and each is fitted with its own cloth weight, colour and cut in mind.

Weddings styling by Hire Class

Weddings

The whole party, dressed as one

Wedding suit hire for the entire party, from the groom and best man to ushers, fathers and the youngest page boy, all in matched cloth and a consistent cut. We dress weddings across North Wales and Cheshire, from country house venues in the Ceiriog and Dee valleys to city ceremonies in Chester, coordinating waistcoats, ties and pocket squares to the palette the bride has already set. Sizes are held in a full run, so a late addition to the party is rarely a problem.

Prom styling by Hire Class

Prom

A first suit worth remembering

Prom suit hire and dinner suits fitted properly rather than borrowed and pinned at the last minute. School leavers from Wrexham, Gresford, Rossett and the surrounding villages come to us for their first tailored suit, and we take the time to explain fit, collar, bow tie and shoe so they walk into the room entirely at ease. Group bookings for a year group are welcome, with sizes held from the spring so nothing is left to the final fortnight.

Race Day styling by Hire Class

Race Day

Chester, Bangor-on-Dee, Aintree

Race day attire for the Chester May Festival, Bangor on Dee and Aintree, cut in lighter cloths with softer colour and a relaxed shoulder. A racing suit has to survive a long afternoon on your feet, so we favour breathable summer wools, a higher trouser rise and a jacket that still looks considered after several hours in the sun. Morning suits and formal day dress are available for enclosure requirements that call for them.

Black Tie styling by Hire Class

Black Tie

Evening dress, done correctly

Black tie menswear and tuxedo hire for charity balls, awards dinners, hunt balls and formal galas throughout North Wales, Wrexham and Cheshire. Grosgrain lapels, satin covered buttons, marcella shirts and hand tied bows are the details that separate genuine evening dress from a dark lounge suit, and we fit all of them properly. Dinner jackets, dress shirts, cummerbunds and studs are hired as a complete outfit rather than piece by piece.

Common Questions

Anything you needto know beforeyou visit

The questions we are asked most often about wedding suit hire, prom, black tie and race day tailoring at our Gresford showroom near Wrexham. Search below, or speak to us directly and we will answer it properly.

We suggest six to nine months before the wedding for peace of mind, though we regularly dress parties at shorter notice. Once the groom has been measured we hold the pieces for the date, and any groomsmen travelling from further afield can be fitted separately at the Gresford showroom.

Unit 1, Pandy Business Park, Pandy, Gresford, Wrexham LL11 2UD. It is roughly ten minutes from Wrexham town centre and twenty from Chester, just off the A483. Parking sits directly outside the unit and is free for clients.

Appointments are preferred so the fitting room and a consultant are set aside for you, particularly for full wedding parties. Walk-ins are welcome when we have space, but a short message or call ahead means you will not be waiting.

A standard hire covers the jacket, trousers, waistcoat, shirt, tie or cravat and pocket square. Shoes, cufflinks and braces can be added. Everything is pressed and packaged before collection, and adjustments are made in house before you take it away.

Hire is priced by the piece and the completeness of the outfit rather than by a single headline figure. Most wedding and black tie hires sit within a sensible mid range, with reductions for larger parties and complimentary hire arrangements for grooms on qualifying group bookings. We will quote clearly at the fitting with nothing added afterwards.
